As predicted the impact of Harvey on the Gulf Coast refineries in Texas from Galveston to the Louisiana line in hitting Americans in the wallet from sea to shining sea.

Prices in southern Michigan have spiked as high as $2.79 in Brighton already. Some areas of the U.P. just west of the bridge have made it to $2.69. This could continue to be the case for a few days or longer as 15% of the nations refineries have been idled by the hurricane now tropical storm. With rain still falling on flooded Houston and all the way east to New Orleans don’t be surprised to see prices here rise about $3.00 a gallon in a couple of days.
