I found this reading Facebook the other day and realized I have been seeing a lot more just like it recently. In fact I would say it is a growing phenomenon and something I wanted to share. Here is a post from a FB friend that has an ever more common theme:

Family and friends, I have decided to leave Facebook. I joined the Facebook community to communicate with Family and Friends that I couldn’t see on a regular basis.

It was a fantastic site for that purpose and I enjoyed that part.

However, over the last 12 years, the site has slowly changed from pictures of kids growing up and people sharing their accomplishments to a nasty political site.

I truly understand why the younger generation has left Facebook, so I’m joining them. The older I get, I realize more and more that life is too short to be caught up in all this anger and disappointment.

I will also be avoiding Hollywood actors/actresses and media outlets who seem to be caught up with dividing us. We have so much in common and shouldn’t be only focused on our small differences!

I wonder if Facebook will realize they are in real trouble if they continue to play one side favored over another? I wonder if they realize at Facebook that picking sides in this environment could be a disaster?
