Sorry Folks….No Mega Millionaires in Michigan!

Lots of folks buying Mega Millions tickets in Michigan, but the winners weren't in this state.  

Lottery officials say Tuesday's drawing for 645-million dollars was won by two tickets--in California and Georgia.

The Georgia ticket, according to reports by NBC News,  was purchased at Gateway Newsstand in Atlanta.  In California, Jenny's Gift Shop in San Jose is getting the honor.  The stores selling the tickets will each get a million dollar check.

The Mega Millions prize on Tuesday--the second biggest in lottery prize history in this country--is worth a cash option payout of 341 million dollars--that is, of course, 'before' taxes.
