Lottery Jackpot Could be One for the Record Books

Whoever wins the Mega Millions jackpot could headed to the record books. 

The pot for tonight's draw now stands at at least $586 million, but could easily--according to Lottery officials--top the $600 million mark by the time the numbers are drawn.

While a hugh sum of money is up for grabs, it's not the biggest jackpot on record.  That stands at $656 million.  That pot was won in March of last year.

Mega Millions is played in 43 states including Michigan.  Lottery officials say those heading out to get their ticket or tickets should expect some lines.
