A pizza restaurant that promises to be different than others in the area has plans to open across from the Lansing Center on May 17.

According to the Lansing State Journal, the fast casual Good Slice Pizza Company will offer pizza by the slice and occupy the former Aldaco's Taco 911 location at 414 E. Michigan Avenue.

Co-owner Scott VanGilder said Good Slice is expected to offer slices of pizza from at least five different pies for about $4.50 each.

Good Slice will rely on a recently purchased TurboChef oven to give Good Slice an edge in efficiency over its nearby competitors.

A TurboChef is expected to cook Good Slice's 18 inch pizza in less than four minutes.  Customers who buy cooked slices can get them warmed up in the oven and to their liking in 20 to 30 seconds.

Good Slice is seeking people to fill several jobs at the restaurant.  Please click on the above link for more information.
