South Lansing Gas Station Measles Exposure Site
According to the Lansing State Journal, if you happened to stop at the Speedway at 6041 South Pennsylvania Avenue between the hours of 11 p.m. on Thursday, April 11th and 1 a.m. on Friday, April 12th, you may have been exposed to the measles. This coming from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS).
Measles, which Michigan has seemed to have seen more than it's share of lately, has unexpectedly turned up at yet another location. The MDHHS has listed the gas station as an exposure site in their latest information about all of the measles outbreaks in our state.
If you think you may have been exposed but you know you have either been vaccinated or you know that you have already had the measles, then you are safe. If you are not sure about the vaccine or your health history, you should either call your physician or the health department to get that information.
