What’s Going On in Michigan This Weekend: Old Cars, Horses & More
It's the weekend after Labor Day 2022 all across Michigan, and we've begun our slow descent into autumn.

Here are some fun things happening this weekend within a couple hours' drive of Lansing.
Charlotte Frontier Days
The 50th Annual Charlotte Frontier Days is underway through Sunday (September 11) at the Eaton County Fairgrounds and at various locations throughout Charlotte. Highlights include rodeo action Friday through Sunday, the Frontier Days Grand Parade on Saturday morning, mechanical bull riding, helicopter rides and much more.
Old Car Festival
The Henry Ford in Dearborn's Greenfield Village hosts its Old Car Festival on Saturday and Sunday (September 10-11). Classic car aficionados from all over the country gather to display hundreds of well-restored antique vehicles from the late 1800s through the early 1930s. Saturday evening features a Gaslight Parade of Cars, dancing with the River Raisin Ragtime Revue and a Dixieland-style parade.
Michigan Renaissance Festival
The Michigan Renaissance Festival in Holly continues every weekend through October 2. This weekend's theme is "Wonders of the World". In addition to three daily armored jousts, enjoy belly dance competitions, steampunk costume competitions, dancing with the royals and much more.
Crane's Cider Fest
Crane's Cider Fest 2022 is slated from noon to 5pm on Saturday (September 10) in Fennville. Organizers promise an afternoon of "amazing food, wine and hard cider, games, prizes, hayrides, corn maze, a pie eating contest, live music and more".
Ann Arbor Pride: Pride in the Park
Ann Arbor's Wheeler Park is the setting for Pride in the Park on Sunday (September 11) from noon to 5pm. The event features live music and yoga (bring your own mat!), and culminates with a drag show with unveiled belly dance.
