Multiple media outlets, including WILX.com, are reporting that Michigan State University is ready to announce its new president, possibly as early as Tuesday.

The university's Board of Trustees is holding a special meeting Tuesday, May 28 at 10:00 AM. It is then that a new president to succeed acting President Satish Upda will be announced.

However, some critics are hoping that an announcement of final candidates, not a final decision, will be announced. The group Reclaim MSU is reportedly hitting social media in an effort to have their voices be heard in the final decision making process.
