According to a report from WILX.com, holiday motorists can expect to see an increased presence of Michigan State Police troopers over the Memorial Day weekend.

Operation C.A.R.E. is in effect for the holiday weekend in an effort to reduce traffic accidents and fatalities in Michigan. The focus is on Crash Awareness and Reduction Efforts (C.A.R.E.) which is a crackdown on aggressive and impaired driving; Click It Or Ticket ,concentrated on seat belt usage and the 6-State Trooper Project which is a partnership between state police officers from Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Kentucky.
