Lake Lansing South & Hawk Island Beaches Closed For Season
Officials with the Ingham County Parks department announced this week that some beaches in the Lansing area are closed for the season due to the early start of schools/colleges and the fact that seasonal staff is unavailable. If you had any plans to visit some of the beaches in the Lansing area this week and/or for Labor Day weekend, here are the beaches that are closed for the season according to the Ingham County Parks website:
Hawk Island - the beach at Hawk Island is CLOSED for the season
Lake Lansing South - the beach at Lake Lansing South is CLOSED from August 26th to August 30th. The beach is open 12-8pm August 31st to September 2nd. The beach closes for the season on September 3rd.
Burchfield Park - the beach is open on weekends and holidays from 12-8pm and closed Monday-Friday unless open for a holiday. The beach closes for the season on September 3rd.
Hawk Island Splash Pad: the Splash Pad is open daily from 9am-8pm, weather permitting, through Labor Day.
