The Chicken Little refrain of the “The sky is falling, the sky is falling” is a frequent retort for those who throw a wet blanket on the whole idea of ‘Global Warming’ which is what I am going to call it. I don’t think I will bow to the persistent PR campaign to try to change the conversation from the shaky premise that mankind is responsible for temperatures creeping up over the past hundred years. Those that are enamored by the idea that somehow we are all in deep peril will stop at nothing and accept no skepticism from anyone on the topic.

It is against that backdrop that President Donald Trump has decided to step back from the Paris Climate Accord. Make no mistake this is a treaty by any honest review or evaluation and has never been approved by the US Senate as required by the Constitution. By comparison 128 countries did have the deal approved by their parliaments or other lawful bodies.

This deal like most so-called international agreements would cost the United States and Europe disproportionately and considerably more than other nations from other parts of the world. In fact the bill would be tens of billions of dollars in the coming years. Other nations would chip in token contributions as United States taxpayers are forced to fund yet another Globalist agenda item.

The same deal would allow China and India to make no changes whatsoever of any consequence until at least 2030. The United States would rob it’s citizens in what amounts to a massive wealth re-distribution scheme that has little or nothing to do with so-called greenhouse gases. In fact some who have studied the Paris Accords say it will have no net impact on climate.

America is the cleanest, greenest most environmentally diverse nation on earth. We are the envy of the rest of the world when it comes to environmental responsibility and how we tidy up after ourselves. America is also the envy of the world when it comes to wildlife management. We have more deer, more turkeys, more geese, more ducks, more bison, more everything than we have had since before the dawn of the 20th century. We have built our reputation on the legacies of people like Teddy Roosevelt, John Muir and Fred Bear. As a professional hunter I travelled the world and have ventured far beyond the places pictured on postcards and I can assure you America is doing great when it comes to taking care of Mother Earth.

We should not be held hostage by the extreme leftist environmentalist movement and it’s devotees that have been crying wolf for decades. First it was a coming ice age, then it was predicted famine and of course we would all be in the dark because fossil fuel supplies would surely be depleted no later than 1980. Of course none of those end of the world scenarios have ever come to pass. In fact the predictions have been so wildly wrong they had to rename the entire charade a few times; from global cooling to global warming to climate change.

Certain terms has also vanished. Peak oil is one that I am reminded of often. Peak oil was a scare term made famous by former President Jimmy Carter. Carter wearing a frumpy sweater appeared on TV to declare we needed to me more mindful because we were going to run out of oil. Another scary ending that just never came to pass.

The environmental movement has evolved into just another cult with its high-priests, clerics and oracles like Al Gore, Patrick Kennedy, Nancy Pelosi and Tom Steyer delivering the daily gospel of human destruction and preaching the sermon of repentance against your fellow human beings, yourself and your country to save the world. Of course these diatribes are rooted in the fertile soil of dark political money and have little to do with science and everything to do with controlling as many people as possible.

The Paris Climate Accord is aimed at streamlining central planning for the entire world instead of just one nation at a time that has been tried in places like Russia, Cuba and Venezuela and delivered such spectacular failures. If you throw China on top you could count the actual victims, people that actually died at over 100 million. The Paris deal would do nothing to alleviate any actual climate deviations nor would it help any populations in any country. It would however allow people from all over the world to help themselves to the money in your pocket.

Remember he who controls the food and water controls the people. Keep your eyes open to the truth of what they are really preaching from their pulpits.
