An earlier recall of deli meat due to possible listeria contamination has been expanded to include 7 million pounds of product. The products are believed to be behind a listeria outbreak in 13 states in which more than thirty people have gotten sick and two have died.
A new recall is affecting retail stores in Michigan and throughout the nation. Michigan residents are being asked to check their refrigerators and pantry as this recall is already causing problems. The CDC is warning Michigan residents to take action now as ten hospitalizations and one death have been reported due to this recall.
