Once again this year, Subway restaurants all across the state of Michigan are getting together with Law Enforcement Torch Run in a partnership for Special Olympics Run Week from September 7 though September 27. Torch Run will benefit Special Olympics athletes in our state.

Here's Andrea Rachko, Law Enforcement Torch Run and Senior Development Director, Special Olympics Michigan.

Take a look at more information from the Subway and Special Olympics Michigan press release:

The Law Enforcement Torch Run® (LETR) is the single largest grassroots fundraising effort for Special Olympics International. The two main goals of the Law Enforcement Torch Run® are to raise funds and create awareness for the athletes who participate in Special Olympics Michigan. LETR Run Week is an opportunity for law enforcement, corrections personnel and community members to run shoulder to shoulder, raising money and awareness for Special Olympics Michigan athletes. This year there will be more than 30 community runs throughout the state of Michigan.

Each year Subway® supports charities and philanthropic organizations through corporate donations and sponsorships to encourage active lifestyles and help make the world a better place. The Subway® system is committed to providing a wide range of great-tasting food choices while reducing their environmental footprint and creating a positive influence in the communities they serve around the world.

Donations made at local Subway® restaurants from September 5 through September 30 will help provide funding to promote active lifestyles for more than 27,000 Michigan athletes. More than 600 Subway restaurants will be participating in this statewide campaign.
