47 East Adams, the former location for Cheli's Chili in Detroit, is getting a new bar and restaurant.

Back in January it was reported that the Ilitch family bought the building which housed the former Cheli's Chilli Bar.

According to WDIV, the former Cheli's will now be a Tin Roof.   Tin Roof is a bar and restaurant that will feature live music indoors and on the roof top deck.

The new Tin Roof will join the District Detroit.   The new place is just across from Comerica Park and near Ford Field and The Fox Theatre.

Tin Roof has locations across the country with the original location opening in 2002 in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee.

Tin Roof's website list the opening for fall of 2019 so it looks like it may miss baseball season.  It should be open in time for the Lions season.
