It's gonna feel a lot like fall this weekend! Wanna get out and enjoy that crisp, cool air? Here are some things to do within a couple hours' drive of Lansing for the weekend of October 7-9, 2022.
Jack-o-Lanterns Unleashed
Jack-o-Lanterns Unleashed is underway through October 30 at the Ingham County Fairgrounds in Mason. Visitors are invited to check out more than 5,000 hand-carved pumpkins in a variety of themes, including dinosaurs, carnival, and under the sea.
Skeletonfest
From now through the end of October, downtown Marshall is transformed into a Halloween selfie zone! Skeletonfest features dozens of life-size themed skeletons throughout town, perfect for picture-taking.
Handmade Music Festival
Showboat Park alongside the Shiawassee River in Chesaning hosts the annual Handmade Music Festival on Friday and Saturday (October 7-8). More than a dozen Michigan-made bands and acts are scheduled to play over the course of the weekend.
Great Lakes Comic Expo
The Great Lakes Comic Expo hosts its fall event this Saturday (October 8) from 10am to 4pm at Trinity Lutheran Church/School in Clinton Township. Comic collectors and dealers are invited to get together and buy/sell some of their favorite collectibles.
Davisburg Antique Festival
Davisburg's Springfield Oaks County Park hosts this weekend's Michigan Antique Festival. The event promises hundreds of antique and vintage dealers including some specializing in shabby chic and upcycled treasures, a huge barn sale with high-end antiques, a beer garden, and much more. It's happening Saturday and Sunday (October 8-9).
A2 Artoberfest
Downtown Ann Arbor hosts the A2 Artoberfest Saturday and Sunday (October 8-9), a juried art show spanning several city blocks. Guests can enjoy live entertainment, food vendors, art activities, and several adult beverage offerings.
Grilled Cheese Fest 2022
Here's an event you can really sink your teeth into! Head to Fuller Park in Grand Rapids on Sunday (October 9) beginning at noon as The Cheese Lady celebrates its 10th anniversary with Grilled Cheese Fest 2022.
