The list of events that have been cancelled this year due to concerns about the coronavirus continues to get longer and longer. Now you can add the Holt Fest to that list as well as organizers of the event announced this week that the festival was cancelled for 2020.

The Holt Fest was supposed to be in August and this year it was going to take place on the Cedar Street Corridor in Holt, near the Farmer's Market and the Veterans Memorial Gardens and Amphitheater. The festival--which was going to be redesigned for 2020--was supposed to have two stages with live entertainment and lots of food. However, that's all going to have to wait until August 2021.

Here's their official statement on the cancellation:

Due to the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 HOLT FEST has been postponed until 2021. The health and safety of our community made this difficult decision the best option at this time. Please mark your calendars for Saturday, August 14, 2021 and look forward to a bigger and better HOLT FEST. Sign up below to stay up to date on Holt Fest 2021. In the meantime, stay safe and stay healthy.
