Now, the former Grand Blanc High student is taking on one of the most chilling roles of his career...playing serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer. Peters will play the title role in Dahmer-Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story set to hit Netflix this week. The new mini-series will feature 10 episodes and tell the story of the killer's rampage "told from the perspective of the victims and police incompetency that allowed the Wisconsin native to go on a multiyear killing spree."

In a Netflix interview about the project, Peters talked about preparing for the role through research and watching interviews with the killer,

"It was so jawdropping that it all really happened. That it felt important to be respectful to the victims, to the victims familes. to try to tell the story as authentically as we could", Peters said. "Honestely, I was very scared about all the things he did and diving into that and trying to commit to that was abasoultyey going to be one of the hardest things I've ever had to do in my life".

Jeffrey Dahmer murdered and dismembered 17 men and boys from 1978 to 1991. During that time he also committed necrophilia and cannibalism on several of his victims.   On November 28, 1994, Dahmer was beaten to death by Christopher Scarver, a fellow inmate at the Columbia Correctional Institution in Portage, Wisconsin.

Peter's connection to Grand Blanc comes from his father's job as Vice President of Administration for the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation which brought the family to Grand Blanc in 2001. Then the actor, who won his first Emmy last year, was a freshman at Grand Blanc High School with a passion for modeling and acting at the time. He even did some modeling for Avante in Flint and took acting classes at Flint Youth Theatre.

You can catch Peters as Dahmer on Netflix in  “Dahmer- Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story”  starting WednesdaySeptember 21, 2022.
