According to a report from WILX.com, Ford Motor Company is issuing a recall over some of its larger truck models.

The recall affects Ford F-250, F-350, and F-450 trucks. Those trucks from the 2017, 2018, and 2019 model years with electronic tailgates are being recalled. There is reportedly the possibility of water getting into the electronic mechanisms, causing a short circuit, at which time the tailgate may open on its own. If this were to happen while a truck is in motion, it could cause cargo to fall out of the bed.

Ford truck models with mechanical latches are not affected by the recall.
