I saw a post on Facebook the other day about a guy who had a group of people over and kids playing together in his yard. In Flint, they had to issue a citywide curfew and in Detroit, the coronavirus hot spot of our state, the city had to dismantle basketball hoops and increase patrols around parks.

People are not taking this seriously. Officials and civilians are getting frustrated by people who are ignoring the social distancing rules. Word is they are about to start enforcing it. Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan says The city will begin issuing misdemeanor citations punishable by $1,000 fines and six months in jail.

Michigan Department of Health and Human Services director Robert Gordon issued an order allowing police to fine violators up to $1,000 or implement criminal penalties for breaking social distancing rules.
