Expect Delays On Michigan Avenue As Trees Are Cleared For Construction
WLNS.com reports that the beginning phases of a major reconstruction project of sewer lines under Michigan Avenue will begin Thursday in East Lansing.
Trees along the median of Michigan Avenue between Harrison Road and Highland Avenue will start to be removed to accommodate a major underground Combined Sewer Overflow project along the heavily traveled stretch of road.
The trees need to be removed in order to keep traffic flow moving through the majority of the project, scheduled to wrap up by December 2019. Landscaping details will be complete by Spring 2020.
