Applebee's is about to help out some local students who may have some school lunch debt with an upcoming fundraiser.

According to Team Schostak Family Restaurants, 42 Michigan Applebee's locations around the mitten state will donate 20% of their food sales to help pay off local student's school lunch debt, from 2-8 PM on Sunday October 27th.

If you're looking for some of the locations you can go to in mid-Michigan to partake in this fundraiser, those locations include: East Lansing, South Lansing, West Lansing, Okemos, Howell, St. Johns and Charlotte.

On the Team Schostak Family Restaurants website, they explained as to why they were doing this fundraiser.

One in five children in Michigan struggle with hunger, and many families fall just above the threshold to qualify for free and reduced lunches, ultimately still struggling to cover costs for student lunches. When accounts fall into debt, kids can be denied a proper lunch, not only making them hungry but also easily identifiable by their peers by a substitute lunch they are provided.

The 42 other participating Applebee's locations are: Adrian, Allen Park, Ann Arbor- Eisenhower Pkwy, Belleville, Benton Harbor, Big Rapids, Caledonia, Canton, Charlotte, Chesterfield, Coldwater, Comstock Park, Dearborn Heights, Dundee, East Lansing, Grand Haven, Grandville, Greenville, Hastings, Holland, Howell, Kalamazoo- Gull Road, Kalamazoo- West Main, Lapeer, Ludington, Lyon Township, Marshall, Okemos, Plainwell, Portage, Roseville, Saint Johns, South Lansing, Southfield, Southgate, Sturgis, Three Rivers, Walker, West Lansing, Westland, White Lake and Woodhaven.
