Washtenaw County is very quickly approaching 1,000 confirmed cases of COVID-19 Cases, since testing for the disease had begun about a month ago, according to MLive.

As of Thursday, Aprily 23rd, 966 confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in the county, with 42 confirmed deaths from the virus.

At first, health officials did report seeing a slowing in confirmed cases, but they believe that may have been due to a lag in the reporting case numbers from testing centers.

There have been twenty-two new recoveries from the illness, make the number of recoveries in the county at 447, from the Wasthenaw County Health Department.
