Apple Has Temporarily Closed all of their MI Stores due to COVID

With positive COVID-19 cases in Michigan continuing to rise, Apple has made the decision to close all of their stores in Michigan indefinitely.

MLive reports that Apple revealed the news in an e-mailed statement.

We take this step with an abundance of caution as we closely monitor the situation and we look forward to having our teams and customers back as soon as possible.

Apple has six locations in the state:

Ann Arbor - Briarwood
Clinton Township - Partridge Creek
Grand Rapids - Woodland Mall
Lansing - Eastwood Towne Center
Novi - Twelve Oaks
Troy - Somerset Collection

All of the stores are indicated as "Temporarily Closed." It's unknown when the stores plan on reopening. Customers who had a pick-up planned can still visit their nearest store to get their purchase.

Michigan is the only state that's affected. It's also the state leading the country in new cases with 77 per 100,000 people per day.

On Friday, the MDHHS extended the mask and gathering mandate for another five weeks, and is now requiring masks for 2 to 4-year-old's, beginning April 26th.
