This past weekend though, humans were only one of the creatures cooling off in a lake.

As Michigan resort and lake towns prepare for the Memorial weekend holiday, the MDHHS & Michigan DNR are reminding folks to please avoid the lake foam on Michigan's inland waters.

There are hundreds of lakes all with stories behind them and names that for some are very hard to pronounce.
