Tantalizing, Romantic Dinners She’ll Love You For Taking Her On
This week my wife and I celebrated our anniversary. Unfortunately, we are the type of couple that says, "hey, our anniversary is coming up, we should do something cool!" Then the week of the anniversary arrives, and we enjoy it together, but we don't bother planning anything to do in advance. We have gotten really good at spontaneous dinners and trips.
I need to do a better job of planning in advance. We would have enjoyed a short excursion somewhere, but we didn't plan ahead and now we will enjoy a nice meal this weekend somewhere local.
Is romance dead? I don't think so. What is romance? According to Collins Dictionary:
1. Countable Noun
A romance is a relationship between two people who are in love with each other but who are not married to each other.
2. Uncountable Noun
Romance refers to the actions and feelings of people who are in love, especially behavior that is very caring or affectionate.
This is the first I have looked up the definition of romance. Thankfully I've known what it was and hopefully I've done it right. It's a clear line in the sand what romance is.
Romance can be as simple as your gestures and affection. Sending your significant other flowers is an act of romance. Making dinner reservations at your better half's favorite restaurant, at their favorite table is also an act of romance.
Get to know your partner. Nothing screams romance like you paying attention to the little things in their lives that mean so much. Surprise your love with a gift of an item that they have mentioned they love in the past. It shows you actually pay attention to what is being said.
We will celebrate at a good local restaurant. I've been paying attention and I know where I will take her.
