How do you personally feel about the time change? In the United States, Daylight Saving time begins on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at 2 a.m. and will end on Sunday, Nov. 6, 2022, when clocks will fall back to Standard time.

Of course there are some pros and cons when we move forward to Daylight Saving Time.

One of the pros, courtesy of procon.org:

Longer daylight hours make driving safer, lowers car accident rates, and lowers the risk of pedestrians being hit by a car.

When it comes to making driving safer, that's a good thing for everyone.

Another pro when it comes to Daylight Saving Time is when the day is lighter a little bit longer, people watch less television and participate in more outdoor activities like golf, softball, and so many other activities.

Now let's take a look at a few cons when it comes to DST, courtesy of procon.org:

Daylight Saving Time (DST) is bad for your health.

Changing sleep patterns, even by one hour, goes against a person’s natural circadian rhythms and has negative consequences for health. One study found that the risk of a heart attack increases 10% the Monday and Tuesday following the spring time change.

A couple of things to keep in mind when you set your clocks ahead on Saturday night before bed time is make sure you don't sleep in on Sunday. Wake up at your normal time. You can take a little nap later in the day if necessary.

Also, you might not want to let your kids do any napping on Sunday or Monday just so they can stay sleepy at bedtime.
