Possible COVID-19 Exposure on CATA Buses
There may be possible COVID-19 exposure on several CATA bus routes in the last week. Now you don't need to be super alarmed, especially since it doesn't affect all people that rode on the bus. There have been two people that rode the bus that tested positive but they are unrelated and to trace the virus better CATA are warning other riders.
Hopefully this won't spread as bad as other COVID-19 exposures in our area. Some positives to the story are that the bus riders that tested positive for the virus wore face masks so that will minimize the spread. In addition, CATA disinfects all vehicles throughout the day and at the end of the day.
There are several bus routes that CATA has targeted for possible exposure. If you were on these route:
- Tuesday June 30th
- Routes 3 from 12p - 1p
- Route 1 from 7p - 8p
- Routes 3, 1, 20 from 8:30 – 10 a.m
- Wednesday July 1st
- Routes 3 and 1 from 12–1 p.m
- Routes 1 and 12 from 7–8 p.m
- Thursday July 2nd
- Route 14 at 7:15 a.m
- Routes 14 & 1 from 12p - 1p
- Friday July 3rd
- Routes 3 and 1 from 12–1 p.m
- Routes 1 and 12 from 7–8 p.m.
If you happen to on the bus on one of these routes during this time you don't need to be tested yet, but if you feel feverish or sick you should. The virus usually takes about 7-10 days to show signs and it is now around that time. More on it here
