Pennsylvania Avenue Closed Due To Flooding

It wouldn't be Lansing if we didn't have occasional flooding whenever it rains.

Pennsylvania Avenu near Pooter Park is closed due to flooding from today's earlier rain. The roadway is blocked off, however, drivers do keep attempting to drive through the floodwaters.

A car did attempt to drive through the standing water earlier and got stuck. Authorities were able to pull the car-free, according to WILX.

As a reminder, whenever you see standing water, it is better to find an alternate route. Driving through that standing water could cause damage to your engine.
