No Selection Show For MHSAA Football Playoffs This Year

The Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) announced on Tuesday that there will be no selection show for the MHSAA 11-Player and 8-Player football playoffs this coming Sunday.

The MHSAA will instead post all pairings on MHSAA.com by Sunday afternoon.  Game days and times will be posted on that site by next Monday at noon.

Fox Sports Detroit has traditionally aired the HS Football Selection Show on the Sunday following the regular-season finales in Week 9.

With almost every school getting into the playoffs this year due to the revised regular season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the MHSAA will continue to use the computer points format to determine the first-round district matchups scheduled for next weekend (October 30-31).
