The Lansing State Journal is reporting that Eaton County Sheriff's Office and Clinton County Transit are offering to deliver groceries to residents amidst Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer's emergency order for Michigan residents to stay in their homes, except to perform essential tasks.

Eaton County Sheriff's office is taking requests from county residents age 60 and over, and those with underlying medical issues, to have groceries and medical supplies delivered to their homes. The department will utilize volunteer reserve deputies to make deliveries, as to not disrupt the department's daily patrol and enforcement units. Residents should call 517-543-5261 to use the service.

In Clinton County, residents can call Clinton Transit to schedule trips to retail outlets. But, they can also request that transit drivers pick up and deliver groceries ordered online at Kroger, Meijer, or WalMart. Clinton County residents should call 989-224-8127 to schedule bus rides or deliveries.
