Governor Gretchen Whitmer announced Friday morning that indoor dining will be able to resume in the state beginning February 1.

The new order, which was issued by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, states that restaurants and bars will be allowed to reopen at 25% capacity with up to 100 people. All tables must be six feet apart, and no more than six people will be allowed at a table. All bars and restaurants must close by 10 p.m. Establishments must also gather contact information from customers for contact tracing purposes. Outdoor tents with four sides will also be permitted - and must follow the same rules.

This new order will be in effect until February 21.

In addition to bars and restaurants, concessions at casinos, movie theaters and stadiums will be allowed.
