Who Has the Best Takeout in Lansing?
You've got to eat right? Sometimes it takes a moderator, full session of congress, and possibly more to answer one of life's toughest questions: "What are we getting for dinner tonight?"
Here in Lansing, we're blessed with some pretty good choices. Now, there are a ton of restaurants and I didn't list them all. I learned a long time ago that you can't make everyone happy. That's where the fun comes in. I make a list and you add your favorite to it. I broke these down by type so let's get started!
Chinese Takeout is a Tried and True Choice
If you are looking for good Chinese food at a reasonable price, Ming is the place to go. Orange or General Tso's chicken are always a safe pick. They also have Beef and Broccoli and plenty of veggie options. It's hard to go wrong at Ming. Personally, I would go with the Curry Chicken, medium spice, white rice, and some crab rangoon. That's just me though.
You Could Also Get Some Poutine to Go
Where can you get a good helping of poutine? Lansing Brewing Company. There might come a time when you just want to order in, and this Lansing staple is good anytime. A great variety to choose from including cauliflower wings. I'll admit, I was a bit skeptical. Give it a try with some cherry bbq or Louisiana.
Mexican Takeout is Always a Hit
I'm not sure about you, but I could eat Mexican food practically anytime. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Yes, I did say breakfast. The chorizo, egg, and cheese tacos are the real deal. Combos or ala carte, Pablo's has been doing Mexican right for a long time. You have to try the La Torta at least once.
Or Maybe Grab Some Comfort Food Options You Don't Have to Make Yourself
Everyone loves a good homestyle kitchen. Fidler's is that and then some. Try the smoked gouda mac n cheese. It's so good that I almost wanted to type it twice. There's also chicken and waffles, Carolina burgers, and don't get me started on the cinnamon rolls.
When All Else Fails, There's Pizza
I wouldn't say that I'm a pizza snob, but a good pie is a must. I had a tough time picking just one spot to get one. Pizza House, Bell's, Sir Pizza, and several more are all good. The Cosmos is next level. Sure you can get a traditional type pizza or you can live a little dangerously. Try a pineapple prosciutto. Pineapple has a place on pizza, and this might be the one that hammers that point home.
I gave you a good starting point. You take it from here. What is the best takeout in Lansing?
