We all have a personal opinion on this pandemic. Whether you want to believe it or not, it is actually happening.

As of today, there have been 223,277 positive COVID-19 cases and 7,724 deaths, according to WILX. Those numbers aren't myths folks.

And have you noticed, we're getting to the point where you've at least known one person so far who's tested positive for COVID, right?

With that being said, I'd like to remind you, just because you may not believe in this virus, doesn't mean you can invade my space. Six feet is the maximum length, and I expect all six or more.

I hate writing the next line because I've used it too often in my posts, but as a retail worker, I don't have a choice to be out in the general population. While you can choose to avoid going out and having social interaction, I'm stuck worrying day in and day out whether my coworkers or the next customer could have coronavirus.

So, the next time you head to your retail store, keep your distance. You may not believe in this or be scared about it. But the whole point about wearing a mask and practicing safe social distancing is to keep everyone safe, not just you.

Stay safe, wash your hands, and keep a smile on your face under that mask.
