Michigan Governor, Gretchen Whitmer will Deliver her third State of the State Address virtually later on in the month on January 27th at 7 p.m.

Typically, the House Chambers would be requested to join the State of the State address, however, due to COVID-19 this idea has been thrown out. This action in hopes to prevent large gatherings that could cause health issues to legislators, justices as well as staff and guests, according to WILX.

The State of the State address is typically done once each year by governors from different states. In Iowa, the speech is called the Condition of the State Adress. Virginia, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, and Massachusetts call the speech, the State of the Commonwealth Address.
