Former Spartan Miles Bridges Arrested In California
Former Flint native, Michigan State basketball player, and current Charlotte Hornet Miles Bridges was arrested in Los Angeles on Wednesday after turning himself into L.A. police. L.A. police did not release details of the arrest.
However, according to TMZ Sports, Bridges (pictured above) was arrested on felony domestic violence charges. He was released on $130,000 bail.

The confirmed arrest comes at a bad time for Bridges. He is a restricted free agent this NBA offseason, and is expected to get a significant pay raise. Before the arrest, he was expected to receive a max contract offer from either the Hornets or another NBA team when the free agency period starts tonight.
He averaged 20 points and seven rebounds this past season for the Hornets, his fourth in the NBA. He was the team's first round draft choice in 2018. And this week, the Hornets extended a qualifying offer to make Bridges a restricted free agent. That means that Bridges can sign an offer sheet with another NBA team, but the Hornets have the opportunity to match that offer and keep him in Charlotte for next season.
Bridges played at Michigan State from 2016-18, and he was a key part of the Big Ten regular season championship team in 2018 (along with Jaren Jackson, Jr., Cassius Winston, and Nick Ward). He averaged 17 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 2.4 assists in his two years in East Lansing. He was on the Big Ten All-Freshmen team in 2017, and was second-team All-American in his sophomore year of 2017-18.
Bridges' court date for the felony charges is on July 20th.
