WILX.com reports that former Michigan State University President Lou Anna K. Simon will appear in front of the United States Congress to testify before a Senate subcommittee that oversees the safety of youth sports. That includes college and Olympic sports.

Simon will reportedly speak in front of the Subcommittee on Consumer Protection, Product Safety, Insurance, and Data Security.

The hearing was supposed to take place next Tuesday, but has been delayed due to changes in the front offices of USA Gymnastics. The subcommittee is interested in more details regarding the Dr. Larry Nassar scandal that involves both MSU and USAG.

The new date will be scheduled for sometime in June. Visit this link to WILX.com for more details.
