Well, this is sure to get some people fired up, especially those working at Ford Motor Company.

Ford announced this week that they will require close to 32,000 employees to get the COVID-19 vaccine. If you work at Ford and choose to not get it, you're pretty much screwed. Those that opt-out of the mandate will more than likely get put on unpaid leave.

According to MLive, there will be some exceptions. The automaker will consider religious and medical exemptions that would prevent employees from getting the vaccine, but anyone else will be required to prove they’ve been vaccinated by Dec. 8. I have a feeling there's going to be a whole bunch of employees switching religions in the next few weeks.

The other exception is for the nearly 54,000 workers who are part of the UAW. It's also reported that employees that work at the company’s parts depot and in the financial arm of the company are also exempt.

This mandate is for salaried employees only and those that don't comply will be placed on leave with job protection for up to 30 days. At the moment, it's not clear if the employee will be terminated after 30 days of not getting the vaccine. We'll just have to wait and see how that all plays out.

I'm all for getting the vaccine, 100%. I mean, it's really hard for me to understand why someone wouldn't get it, but that's just me. However, I don't feel companies should have the right to force it on their employees. I think that is wrong.
