WILX.com is reporting that Ford is recalling nearly 1.3 million of its Focus models over a potential stalling issue.

The models affected by the recall were produced between 2012 and 2018. Focus models with the 2-liter four cylinder engines may have a valve that sticks open causing an airflow issue that may force the engine to stall.

Ford suggests that owners of affected models keep their gas tank at least half full until the recall begins in December. The company is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to the defect.
