Factory Two in Flint is Making Face Shields
They're called Flint's Community Makerspace and now, they're giving back to the community.
The co-founder of Factory Two, Michael Wright, started experimenting with face shields back in late March. Classes at Factory Two were canceled, so he had some "extra time" on his hands.
According to FlintSide, the Factory is part of the Nation of Makers (NoM), which is a national non-profit organization that has been one of the leaders in creating personal protective equipment (PPE) from scratch for the pandemic. Michael found out about their movement called #GetUsPPE.
So far, they've created over 500 shields with materials donated by the public. Most recently, they're short on elastic. You can reach them about donations HERE.
