Walt Disney World is the most magical place on earth but sees a number of injuries due to scooters. One woman is suing the beloved theme park after being struck by an ECV.

Florida Politics reported that Jamie Pineda is suing the company for over $30,000. The apparent incident took place on Dec. 29 at Epcot, which would have been quite a busy time due to the Christmas holiday, break for schools and upcoming New Year's Eve celebrations. She filed a lawsuit in Orange Circuit Court on March 31.

Pineda claimed that she was hit by a scooter from behind while she was waiting in line for the Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along Film in the France Pavilion.

The Texas native took the trip with her husband and children as a vacation. Her attorney Lowell Karr said that the incident "completely ruined her trip." Pineda suffered from a dislocated knee and a tear in her ankle.

“She returned home to get medical treatment,” Karr added. “She is still receiving treatment for some of these injuries.”

The lawsuit accused Disney of not being able to maintain order for guests and letting electric scooters get too close to other guests. They also allegedly failed to help Pineda after she suffered the injuries.

"She believes Disney is responsible for that,” Karr told the outlet.

For any establishment, it is a complicated issue as people with scooters are protected under federal law and the Americans With Disabilities Act. Every company is limited in how they could control or regulate the scooters due to the scooter users' rights. The lawsuit's request for more regulation may not be possible.
