Detroit Lawmaker Proposes Naming Freeway For Aretha Franklin
According to a report from WILX.com, there is a proposal to rename a major Metro Detroit freeway to honor the late Aretha Franklin.
State Representative Fred Durhal III wants to rename a stretch of the John Lodge Freeway, M-10, to honor the Queen of Soul. His proposal would rename the freeway, already dedicated to the former Detroit mayor, between Eight Mile Road and I-94.
