There is a massive recall happening now that is covering over 600,000 Ram Trucks. These trucks were already being recalled but for another reason. According to MLive, this latest recall is on top of another recall for this same vehicle that was called on earlier this year. The recall covers 693,128 model year 2013-2014 Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 pickup trucks with a 6 or 8-foot-bed and a power locking tailgate.

The problem, according to the NHTSA, is that the trucks are having issues with the tailgate actuator limiter tab, which can cause the tailgate to open without the owner knowing. The previous recall was for Ram Trucks from 2015-17, so this covers earlier models of that same truck.

If you have one of these vehicles, you will be notified by October. You can check if you car is under a recall here, just make sure to have your VIN number.
