Suspect Arrested In Armed Robbery In Lansing
According to information posted by the Ingham County Sheriff's Office, a suspect has been arrested in an armed robbery that took place early Sunday morning at Shroyer Auto Parts on Eaton Rapids Road. Officials say that around 8 AM on Sunday September 8, 2019, an employee reported that they were physically assaulted by a subject dressed in dark clothing. During the armed robbery the suspect threatened the employee with a knife and then ran from the business with vehicle keys, cash and other items.
According to the report from police, they were able to use the information given to them by the employee to identify a suspect in the armed robbery. Police were then able to locate the suspect in south Lansing later in the day. When officials approached the residence the alleged suspect ran from police, however, he was taken into custody after a "short foot pursuit." The 38-year-old man is currently in the Ingham County Jail. He will be arraigned on charges of armed robbery, felonious assault and resisting/obstructing police.
