What up Kzoo? I joined the Townsquare Media team from Detroit and am now enjoying the role as Digital Managing Editor for Townsquare Media Kalamazoo/ Battle Creek. I graduated from Specs Howard School of Media Arts in Southfield, MI in 2012. After working at a Top-40 station in Detroit, I moved to Kalamazoo in 2017, and it's the best move I ever made. I'm a lover of all music, a vocalist, wrestling commentator for the Kalamazoo promotion Independence Pro Wrestling, and obsessed with music and entertainment. Catch me weekdays on 103.3 KFR 10 AM - 3 PM & Weekends on 1077 RKR.

This Guy Re-imagined Michigan As If It’s A Level on Super Mario Bros.
I would imagine Mario having to dodge empty beer bottles being flung by a Lakitu in the cloud in the Kalamazoo level, while Battle Creek would definitely be a level in the clouds, especially now that Columbia Ave has been named the Marijuana Mile.

Why Is Mickey Mouse Sculpted On This Old Detroit School House?
On the crossroads of Kercheval and St Jean in Detroit, there appears to be somewhat of an old school house that at the very top center, has a sculpting of Mickey Mouse on it. What's really strange is there are only rumors of why it's there, yet I've not seen one piece of legit information from anyone or on any kind of Disney site.
Wizard of Oz Was Partially Written In Michigan But Author’s Legacy Is Stained
I'm absolutely blown away from a quote I saw from a relative of L. Frank Baum that suggested that the Wizard of Oz could have been inspired by and possibly partially written while in Holland
If You Have Any of These Jobs In Michigan, I’m Kind of Jealous of You
After working in a kitchen for 15 years of my life, I wake up everyday doing what I love and feel excited about coming into work. But to be honest there are still some professions out there that I low-key am jealous of others having.
The Strange Story of Jackson, Michigan’s Mr. Chicken
The story goes that in December, 1996 a rooster was left outside in a snow storm. But luckily he was found by a local vet, Tim England, but its two feet were frozen to the point where they needed amputation
Where To Watch The 2024 Total Solar Eclipse In Michigan
The good news is that Michigan is in the path of the total eclipse, the bad news is everyone in the town of Erie is about to make tens of thousands of new friends, as there is only a sliver of the state that's going to be in the path.
