Another Lansing Area Road Closure Begins Tomorrow
You may want to add some more time to your commute.
The City of Lansing Public Service Department reminded us of a Lansing area road closure that begins tomorrow. If you usually travel on southbound 127, be aware that the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is closing a stretch of the highway. There will be a "total closure of southbound US-127 between exit 78 (Grand River Ave/Saginaw Street) and the entry ramp from Kalamazoo Street to westbound I-496."
You can expect that stretch of southbound 127 to be closed starting tomorrow (Friday, August 3rd) at 10 am until Sunday, August 5th at 2 pm. But don't worry... there's a detour! When traveling 127 southbound, you can get off at the Grand River/Saginaw exit, then travel south on Howard street until you come to the Kalamazoo street entrance onto 127, then get back on the highway! The detour will be posted in case you forget.
Check out a map and get more info about the closure below.
