The University Of Michigan Board Of Regents has approved a request to allow alcohol sales at Michigan Stadium this summer for the 2014 Guinness International Champions Cup soccer match. By state law, The Big House is a dry venue. Because of this, the State Legislature must give the okay for alcohol sales during special events. According to a mlive.com report, the university has already received approval from lawmakers. It is now up to the stadium’s concessionaire to petition the Michigan Liquor Control Commission for a temporary liquor license. The soccer match is scheduled for August 2, as Manchester United faces Real Madrid.
