When President Trump called for a new military branch for Space, as he called it Space Force, many on the left laughed and mocked him.  Well now the egg is on their face and we our laughing at them.

The Washington Times is reporting that military leaders believe the threat is real and China is close to shooting into space a weapon it claims can blind the optical sensors atop any satellite missile defense system.

Also Russia will soon start its own “S-500 missile program” that it boasts can hit targets nearly 400 miles above Earth’s surface, and Iran has ambitions to attack U.S. communications satellites.

Now the Washington Free Beacon is reporting that Russia has deployed a “suspicious satellite” that may be able to destroy other satellites.

Yleem Poblete, assistant secretary of state for arms control, verification, and compliance was quoted in the article stating at a UN session:

Its behavior on-orbit was inconsistent with anything seen before from on-orbit inspection or space situational awareness capabilities, including other Russian inspection satellite activities… We are concerned with what appears to be very abnormal behavior by a declared ‘space apparatus inspect… obviously a very troubling development

Russia’s commander of aerospace forces, Col. Gen. Sergei Surovikin stated that:

assimilate[ing] new prototypes of weapons [into] space forces’ military units" is a "main task facing the Aerospace Forces Space Troops

Now you can believe him or not, do you want to take the chance?  The fact that the Russian commander made that statement and now we find a “suspicious satellite” launched by Russia should at least make you think.

I am sure many people mocked Winston Churchill when he made comments about Germany and Hitler’s advancement of their military and the desire to invade and take over other countries.

Do you want to make that mistake again?
