According to the Treasury Department, the federal government has collected a record amount of taxes in fiscal 2014, topping $3 trillion in revenue for the first time in its history.

Yet we still have a deficit. We spent more than the record amount of taxes brought in, of $483 billion dollars.

You have to ask yourself, "How does that happen?"

Then, ask yourself, "If we took in a record amount of taxes and still are $.5 trillion in the red, how will we ever balance the budget?"

Let's talk about it today on the Live with Renk Show between 9 a.m. and noon. Call me at 269-441-9595.
