The Detroit Zoo is searching for a new mayor of Amphibiville.  They are currently searching the state to find a 7 to 12-year-old who is willing to serve a two-year term as the leader of the amphibian population.

Amphibiville houses the National Amphibian Conservation Center on two acres of wetlands.

If your child is interested they must submit an essay of 100 words or less stating why they should be the mayor by Friday October 3.  The new leader will be announced in November.

As a perk the mayors family will get a free one-year family zoo membership and a plush frog.

The current mayor, ending his run, is 13-year-old Gabriel P.J. Graydon of Southfield.
