Yelp Says These are the Top 3 Restaurants in Lansing

Even though I consider myself quite the knowledgeable and well-fed Lansing Foodie, I'm always on the lookout for new places to try. Or, those tried and true places everyone always recommends but I just haven't gotten myself out there to try.

Yelp Reviews for Lansing Restaurants

Yelp uses "the people's" reviews to rank and determine the star value of restaurants, granting them a rating on a scale of one to five stars. And it's these results that we're taking a look at today.

First of all, I learned that Yelp is not infallible.

When I was researching the top three restaurants according to Yelp, I noticed (because I have eyes and know how numbers work) that for some reason, the top three restaurants seem to be out of order.

For instance, what should be the number one restaurant, based on average star count and the number of reviews, is listed as third best. So I went ahead and listed these restaurants in the correct order based on their stats. You're welcome, Yelp.

With a 5-star rating and 65 reviews, the third-best restaurant in Lansing is The Ocean Crab.

We drove an hour one-way in the rain just to fulfill our seafood cravings. It was so worth it. We ordered the number one ocean with an extra pound of headless shrimp an extra half a pound of black mussels with the ocean, juicy flavor, medium spicy, low sodium and some pasta, the service was excellent and very engaging our waitress, a lot of energy and was pretty funny. The ambience was bright, cherry and clean. It was overall good experience love coming to this place and will be back again soon.

Fire! I randomly found this last minute while trying to figure out where to Uber for a late dinner. Turns out it's a 5 min walk from my hotel. Great drinks and food. I had the scallops, duck ravioli, and 2 rounds of the Bee's Knees. Best layover business trip meal EVER! Call ahead to reserve a table bc it's pretty cozy.
